LUXURY HERE IS NOT LOUD; IT IS QUIET, RARE, AND DEEPLY INTENTIONAL. WE ARE AMONG THE WORLD’S SMALLEST HOUSES YET WE CARRY AN AMBITION TO ALTER THE COURSE OF ENGLISH ATELIER AND CRAFT.
THE HISTORY
In the 19th Century our ancestors crafted bespoke luxury footwear and leather goods in a small shop in the heart of English shoemaking.
Today, through 1812 we proudly continue this tradition by hand crafting unique designs just a few miles from the original workshop.

1812 WAS NOT BUILT TO FIT IN.
IT WAS BUILT ON THE BELIEF THAT SOMETHING COULD BE MADE IN ENGLAND THAT HAD NEVER BEEN MADE BEFORE. NOT DEFINED BY HERITAGE FOR ITS OWN SAKE. NOT BY TREND OR VOLUME. BY THE QUALITY OF THINKING BEHIND EVERY DECISION.
WE PRODUCE IN LIMITED QUANTITIES BY DESIGN. NOT AS A STRATEGY. AS A CONSEQUENCE OF DOING THINGS PROPERLY.

THE VISION
1812 is driven by the founder’s vision. From the beginning, the intention was personal, to create pieces in England that feel refined, confident and unique.
