02

Ordering & Contract Formation

— Once you place an order, we will email you a confirmation. A contract between you and 1812 is formed when your order is dispatched.

— If we cannot accept your order for any reason, we will notify you and issue a full refund promptly.

— Orders must be placed by individuals aged 18 or over.

1812 reserves the right to decline any order at our discretion, including where we suspect fraudulent activity, identify a pricing error, or are unable to verify payment.

03

Product Information

— 1812 makes every effort to describe and photograph our products accurately. Variations in materials, finishes, or colours may occur — particularly given the handmade nature of our products.

— Packaging may differ from what is shown online.

Minor variations between individual pairs are inherent to handmade production and do not constitute defects.

04

Pricing & Payment

— All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.

— If a pricing error is identified, 1812 will correct it and notify you before your order is processed. You may proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

— Payment must be made in full before dispatch. We accept all major debit and credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

All transactions are processed securely. 1812 does not store your full payment card details.

05

Delivery

— Delivery charges are shown at checkout before payment is taken.

— 1812 aims to dispatch orders within 2–5 business days. Made-to-order products may require additional time; lead times are stated on relevant product pages.

— Once your order has been delivered, responsibility for the product passes to you.

— If delivery fails due to incorrect address details or non-response to delivery attempts, redelivery charges may apply.

1812 is not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier failures, customs delays, or force majeure events.

For international orders, you are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges levied by your country. These are not included in our prices.

06

Cancellations & Returns

Right to Cancel — Standard Products

If you are a consumer purchasing through our website, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. This right is granted under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

To exercise this right, notify us at info@1812england.com before the 14-day period expires.

— Items must be returned in unused, original condition.

— Refunds exclude original shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

— Return postage is your responsibility unless the product is faulty or misdescribed.

All returns must be sent to:

Returns Address

1812 Returns Department
5 to 7 French's Ave
Dunstable LU6 1BH

1812 will issue a full refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence of return, whichever is earlier. We may reduce the refund if the goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to assess them.

Made-to-Order & Bespoke Products

Products made to your specific requirements or that are clearly personalised are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This will be clearly communicated at the point of purchase.

This exemption does not affect your rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.

07

Faulty or Damaged Items

Please report any faulty or damaged goods within 48 hours of receipt by contacting us at info@1812england.com, with photographs where possible.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Where a product is found to be faulty, 1812 will offer a repair, exchange, or refund as appropriate.

As our products are handmade, natural variations in materials and finish are expected and do not constitute faults. Genuine manufacturing defects will be addressed promptly.

08

Changes to Terms or Products

— 1812 may update these Terms at any time. The version active at the time of your order will apply to that order.

— Minor product improvements or legal updates may be made without prior notice.

We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the current version.
